One of the many things we adore about antiques is that you can’t always tell exactly where they’re from. They clearly do not hail from the big-box store down the street. All you know is that a particular antique has great lines and an interesting back story (even if you’re not sure exactly what that story is). The Dandan Small Cabinet is one such piece. Sturdily crafted in Shanghai about 95 years ago, it is made of solid poplar with a warm, reddish finish. It’s in remarkable shape for its age, gently worn as proof of its history, and it features two drawers and two cabinets for storage. Bring it into a foyer, dining room, or living room for a dose of character.
