Ive been in my fair share of luxury lodgings all over the world, and I find myself delighted and inspired by the dcor, maybe because so much of it is custom-crafted for that particular hotel. The last time Gabe and I were in New Orleans, our suite included bedside lamps wrapped in leather that was stamped in an alligator skin pattern. Knowing that lamps are a savvy way of adding whatever a room lacks–sparkle, pattern, texture–I was determined to re-create an alligator lamp that would pop on any table.
Our Alligator Lamp is wrapped in beautiful leather (rich coffee brown on both ends of the cylinder and alligator-embossed cream-colored skin in between). A natural linen shade tops it off.
